Regents Professor Ziad El Rassi earned his Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Analytical Chemistry from Claude-Bernard University, France, in 1974 and 1978, respectively. Thereafter, he held a visiting Assistant Professorship at Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France. He joined the Chemical Engineering Department at Yale University in 1980. In 1988, he accepted an Assistant Professorship at Oklahoma State University, where he later became Full Professor, followed by Regents Professor. He has served on the editorial boards of several international journals, Editor-In-Chief of the Journal ELECTROPHORESIS, and as the Chairman of three international symposia. He has received several research awards, and his research resulted in more than 200 research publications, three books, and 250 presentations, including 170 invited lectures around the world.
