Leslie A. Miller is a native of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English with honors from OSU. As an editor with Fire Protection Publications since 2002, she has been a technical writer and editor for many fire service training manuals. She serves on the National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA's) Hazardous Materials Response Personnel committee, and she also is a member of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). She writes short fiction for a hobby and is a member of Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA). An avid gardener, she blogs about gardening for wildlife at Planters Place, a website sponsored by Osmocote Plant Foods.
