Stephen Nemeth is an assistant professor of Political Science at Oklahoma State University. He received his doctorate degree from the University of Iowa in 2010. His research interests include interstate and intrastate conflict, terrorism, and environmental politics.

Recent projects have focused on the role of competition on terrorist violence, the spatial attributes of domestic terrorism, and the impact of leadership of terrorist group violence. His research has been published in Journal of Politics, Journal of Conflict Resolution, and International Interactions. He was also a past recipient of a Terrorism Research Award from the START Consortium at the University of Maryland.

This book analyzes the complex relationship between religion and terrorism through a collection of essays. The essays encompasses a wide variety of approaches, from empirical to theoretical, and cover topics related to radicalization, suicide bombing, rational choice, along with specific case studies.
