editor of "Occupational Safety, Health, and Wellness" 4th edition

Fire Protection Publications senior editor Michael Fox made quite a few stops before landing in Stillwater: Cornell University football correspondent; Health & Fitness editor in Florida, oil and gas pipeline journalist in Maryland, and sports agate clerk in his hometown of Utica, New York.

Fox came to FPP with degrees in public relations and journalism from Syracuse University, and he’s started work toward a master’s degree in Agricultural Economics here at OSU, posting a 3.8 GPA since returning to classes in 2017. After leading “Occupational Safety, Health, and Wellness” into production, Fox went to work on FPP’s 4th edition of “Fire and Life Safety Educator.”

“Occupational Safety, Health, and Wellness" 4th edition is all new and meets the Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education learning outcomes and lesson outlines for the associates course, Occupational Safety and Health for Emergency Responders.

Fire and emergency responder safety is a primary responsibility of all emergency services organizations and responders. This manual provides guidance to achieve the requirements of National Fire Protection Association 1500, Standard on Fire Department Occupational Safety and Health Program. The content is a guide to a comprehensive occupational safety, health, and wellness program in a fire and emergency response organization.
