Ben Brock

editor and graphic designer of "Fire and Emergency Services Instructor" 9th edition

Ben Brock is a senior graphic designer with Fire Protection Publications at Oklahoma State University, a position he has held for the past 20 years. Prior to his full-time employment, Ben interned in the graphics department at FPP and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1999 from Oklahoma State University. He has since collaborated on numerous educational publications, research journals and marketing productions. He currently resides with his wife and daughter in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

A safe and effective fire service must have capable instructors delivering effective training. The “Fire and Emergency Services Instructor, 9th Edition,” is the International Fire Service Training Association source for instructor training. National Fire Protection Association 1021 and Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications requires Instructor Level I certification as a prerequisite for Fire Officer Level I. This new IFSTA Instructor text is ideal for these Level I learners.

This new text includes all NFPA 1041, Standard for Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualifications, 2019 Levels I, II, and III JPR’s.
